Pre-teaching (15-20 mins)
Activity
Teacher enters into the classroom and greets the students. Then, the teacher shows a short video about storytelling to the students and asks them some questions such as;
- Who is she?
- Where is she?
- What is she doing?
- Do you like the story?
- What was the story about?
Then , the teacher tells students that they imagine they are at a competition like at the video, and tell a story. Teacher asks what kind of story they want to tell, and write their answers on the board.
While-teaching (30-35 mins)
Activity
Teacher tells students create a story by inventing answers to questions and writing them down. Before class, teacher makes one copy of the worksheet for each student. Teachers asks the students to work in groups of six. Tells them that they are going to write a story about a holiday romance by imagining answers to some questions. Asks each group of six students to sit in a circle. Gives a copy of the worksheet to each student and ask them to write their name at the top and then fold the paper as indicated. The students should hand their paper to the person on their right. The student on the right answers the first question (Who was the man?) by inventing details and writing the answer in the space provided. The student then folds the paper and passes the paper to the person on the right who answers the next question and so on. Teacher makes sure the students fold the paper correctly. They shouldn't be able to see what was written before. This continues until all the questions have been completed. Teacher encourages the students to be as imaginative or as amusing as they like. When the last question has been answered, teachers asks the students to give the story back to the person whose name is at the top of the worksheet. This person corrects any mistakes they find, and then reads the story to the group. When everyone has finished,teacher asks each group to choose the best story from their group. This story can be read aloud to the class. The class then votes for the best story and teacher gives feedback.
Post-teaching (15-20 mins)

After students complete their stories teacher checks them and the volunteer students share their stories. Teacher gives oral feedback.
