LESSON TITLE                     : What's your favorite city?
Structure                                 : My favorite city is.....
EQUIPMENT NEEDED        :  Computer, pictures ,hand out, smart board, cards, newspaper, scissors, glue.


OBJECTIVES/GOALS:
 At the end of the lesson;
1.  Students will be able to define their favorite city.
2.  Students will be able to criticize places and cultures.
3. Students listening and reading skills will be able to improve.

Stages of the Lesson:
Pre stage:
Teacher asks If you have a chance to go abroad where you want go?
Students say some places then teacher shows pictures of the best cities of the world. She says the best known features of the cities gives interesting knowledge as well.

While stage:
In this part students read the text at the same time they listen the recording and they fill in the blanks according the recording
Teacher gives students a reading text and starts recording as well. First listening, they only skim over the text. Second listening, they fill in the blanks.
In this activity,
Teacher divides class into four group, each group has 6 students. Teacher gives them a card with a name of a city on it. Teacher wants students to describe their card to the group members in 30 seconds , after each learner has done their task, the cards are passed around hand to hand until the teacher says stop. At that time, teacher walks between the desks and checks students conversations.
In this activity,
Teacher asks concept checking questions like
Where is the Eiffel tower?
Which city is attracting 12 million visitors in 2014?
Post stage:
In this activity,
Teacher brings the newspaper that has knowledge about the cities, coloured paper, scissors and glue. She want students to make a poster about their favorite city by cutting from newspaper. Finally, they present their poster to the class.
