LESSON PLAN 1

Topic: Winter Clothes (sweater, gloves, scarf, cap, boots)
Materials: Craft materials, crayons, sticks, tools for winter clothes, winter clothes song
Techniques: Teaching vocabulary through song, a game, art-craft and materials of winter clothes (sweater, gloves, scarf, cap, boots)
Aims:
1.      To enable the students to practice listening skills through song
2.      To enable the students to practice speaking skills
3.      To introduce new vocabulary to the students by singing song, playing game and making crafts
Objectives:
By the end of the lesson students will be able to:
ü      identify and visualize 5 names of winter clothes(scarf, gloves, boots, sweater, cap) in the context.
ü      practice to  combine  the points of their own art crafts by  using their own muscle movement at least 5 winter clothes.
ü      pronounce the song  about  at least 5 winter clothes.
ü      engage with the song by using their own art-crafts.
ü      use and distinguish their body parts by finding  the true one of  5 winter clothes with the game.




Procedure:
Warm-up:  (15')
ü     The teacher greets the classroom and makes a beginning by producing sentences like:
·         What do you see in this picture?
 
·         What do you wear in winter?
ü     The teacher shows the materials of 5 winter clothes and introduces them by using body languages.
ü      The teacher describes the winter clothes by using the structure . For example: 'I wear scarf in winter.'
ü     The teacher says the names of 5 winter clothes and wants students to repeat after her.

While Activity: (15')
ü     The teacher gives instructions about what the students do (Trace lines, cut and color) and demonstrates them to students
ü      The teacher hands out the worksheets for art craft.
ü      The teacher sings a song about winter clothes with gestures herself firstly.
ü      Secondly, the teacher and students sing the song by touching their body.
ü     The teacher and students sing the song twice all together by using their own art crafts.
Post Activity: (10')
ü     The teacher says 'game time' by using her own material which symbolizes the game time.
ü     The teacher gives instructions how to play the game and shows it by calling two volunteers on the board.
ü      The teacher has a box which has the names of five winter clothes to drawing lots and she picks one of them.
ü     Then the teacher describes the picked one by using body language.
ü      Two students try to guess the name and touch the part of their body which body part we wear in our body.
ü      Both groups are clapped by whole class.
ü       Finally the teacher revises and repeats what has been learned in the class in this lesson.
Contingency Plan:
ü     The teacher have a ball.
ü     The teacher gives instruction about the activity by using body language.
ü     The teacher throws the ball the student
ü     The teacher asks the student ‘what do you wear in winter’
ü     The student takes the ball and says ‘I wear gloves in winter’
ü     The student throws the ball another student and asks the same question.
ü     The activity continues like that.
Assessment:
ü     The teacher gives instruction by using body language.
ü     The worksheets have 5 winter clothes' pictures.
ü     The teacher says the names of them .
ü     The students put the pictures in order.

Context: Jobs
Grade: 4

Duration: 20’

Objective(s): At the end of the lesson, students will be able to;
-         Identify five jobs (teacher, doctor, postman, fire fighter, nurse)  in an context,
-                     ask somebody' s job easily.
-         recognize jobs (teacher, doctor, postman, fire fighter, nurse) and write their names correctly.


      Steps:
Warm up: (8')
  The teacher greets the students. She asks the students if they know the meaning of ''job''. She elicits the answers from the students.
 Then she gives a video about jobs.

While activity: (7')
 She asks which jobs they heard. Teacher shows pictures of jobs one by one to them. She tells some characteristics of jobs to the students. The teacher sticks the pictures to the board. They (teacher and students) repeat these jobs all together.
Post activity:(5')
Teacher tells how to ask somebody's job. They repeat this question all together.
·         What do you do ?
·         I am a teacher.
 The teacher explains that she is going to give them some worksheets. They need to work in pair . One of them need to read the text while the other one is filling in the blanks. They have limited time. As soon as a pair finishes the text earlier than the others , they shout "STOP". The rest of the class must stop working. This pair comes to the board and reads the text to the class.

It’s a special day at Cedric's school. His teacher explains: “Today some mums and dads will talk about their jobs. You need to guess what they do!”.
Firstly , Cedric's father says :" I work at hospital and I treat sick people. "
Chen answers :" Doctor"
"Well done Chen. " says the teacher.
Christian' s father explains his job:" I bring your letters."
Cedric says: "You are a postman."
"Yes, That's true ." says the teacher.
Finally Chen's father comes and says :" I fight fire. When there is a fire , you call us."
Christian shout :"Fire fighter!!"
" Yes, That's right Christian. " says the teacher .




(B)
