Context: Prepositions of Time
Objectives:
1)      At the end of the lesson, students will be able to describe likes and dislikes.
2)      At the end of the lesson, students will be able to make sentences with using prepositions of times such as: at, on, from, in, ago and during.
3)      At the end of the lesson, students will be able to state their likes and dislikes on the outside.
Materials Needed:
1)      Smart board
2)      CD playing
3)      Board marker
4)      Course book
Stages of the Lesson:
Warm-Up (5’):
-          Teacher draws students’ attention to the title of the lesson and asks them to guess what they think the lesson is about.
-          Teacher elicits answers.
Introduction (2’):
-          Teacher says the topic of the day.
Activity 1 (6’):
-          Teacher draws students’ attention to the vocabulary activity.
-          Teacher checks the answers with the class.
-          Teacher elicits answers.
Activity 2 (6’):
-          Teacher asks students to read through the dialogue and underline the prepositions of time.
-          Teacher elicits answers.
-          Teacher asks students how the prepositions are used.
-          Teacher elicits answers.
Activity 3 (6’):
-          Teacher asks students the questions and generates discussion.
-          Teacher tells students that they will listen to three people introducing themselves and that they should try to decide what kind of TV show they are on.
-          Teacher plays the CD and students listen carefully.
-          Teacher checks the answers with the class.
Activity 4 (6’):
-          Teacher asks students to read through the speech bubble.
-          Teacher draws students’ attention to the ideas in the box.
-          Students take turns to talk about the things they like and don’t like, in pairs.
-          Teacher goes around the class helping students when necessary.
Activity 5 (10’):
-          Teacher draws students’ attention to the text and asks them to read the text.
-          Teacher asks students to answer the questions and teacher checks the answers.
-          Teacher asks comprehension questions.

-          Teacher allows students to write their own paragraph according to the text they have read.
