OBJECTIVES/GOALS: by the end of the lesson students will be able
1. to list some problems about their holiday
2. to use past form of the verbs practicing their conversations
3. report their own experiences about holiday difficulties.

PRE-LISTENING
 I ask students that whether they love holiday or not, and ask them that “Have you ever have problems on holiday?” I put students into groups of four and tell them to make a list of problems holidaymakers may have on holiday. For instance, they may lose their suitcase, not like the food, etc. I give an example from my own experience, and encourage them to share their own experiences of any holiday difficulties. Then ı choose one student to write their list on the board.
WHILE-LISTENING
I tell student they are going to listen to a conversation among three people and they must decide where the conversation takes place, and who the people are.
I give each student a copy of the Costumer Complaint Form. I want them to listen again and complete the form as if they are the travel agent. I give them time to study the form, and play the recording again. I tell them to compare their answers with their pairs near them.
 I want them to work in groups of 3 in order to practise the conversation together after third listening.
POST-LISTENING

I divide them into groups of three, and want them to create their own conversation. I explain them that one student is travel agent and two are customers. They should use the recording script as a model. But they change the key information with their own ideas. I give them time to complete and practise their conversations. Then while they’re acting their role play in front of the class, ı capture them on the camera. Then we will watch them together.

OBJECTIVES/GOALS:
·         At the end of the lesson, Students will be able to define their feelings (happy,sad,thirsty,hungry,angry,sleepy).
·         At the end of the lesson, students will be able to state their feelings by using the words.










PROCEDURE

WARM-UP
    At the beggining of the lesson,Teacher shows a puppet and then introduces the puppet to students.Teacher asks to puppet ‘How are you today?’ and answers by yourself.

PRE-ACTIVITY (5’)
  Teacher shows the pictures related to the feelings (happy, sad,thirsty, hungry, angry, sleepy) and pronounces words. And then teacher says the students to repeat after the teacher.

WHILE-ACTIVITY (15’)
    Teacher plays a song related to topic.The first time students just listen.The second time they try to sing the song at the same time and the last time they sing the song.

POST-ACTIVITY (20’)
    Teacher divides the classrom into groups of 4 or 5.Teacher distributes the colored papers to each students.Teacher gives a box to each group which includes 6 feeling words.Each students choose a word from the given box for own group then draw a face reflected that feeling and cut them.Lastly,Students come in front of the board and say their feelings then they stick their pictures on appropriate carton.

AIMS :
1.     To enable the students to improve speaking through pictures
2.     To enable the students to practice their speaking and reading skills
3.     To enable the students to make a sense of group work
4.     To enable the students to practice fully in the class activities


OBJECTIVES
1.     By the end of the class, students will be able to recognize TV program types and their meanings.
2.     By the end of the class, students will be able to describe six TV program types ( New, sport program, documentaries, sitcoms, TV series, cartoons )
3.     By the end of the class, students will be able to internalize doing pair and group work activities.
4.     By the end of the lesson, students will be able to match the TV program pictures with the type of TV program.
5.      By the end of the lesson, students will be able to engage actively in pair and group work activities by using their speaking skills.
6.     By the end of the lesson, students will be able to use and practice their background knowledge and new information.

PROCEDURES :
Warm-up : 5 min.
The teacher greets the classroom, and asks some questions like :
-         Do you like watching TV?
-         What kind of TV program do you watch?
Students answer those questions according to their interests and their life style.
Pre-Activity :
Ask and answer : 5 min.
Teacher shows some pictures* to students, and asks what kind of programs they are. Then, she gives their meanings by putting them on the board. After she explains much more, she distributes handouts** to the students in which the students are required to read a text about television and answer the questions in pairs by using the words the teacher has just introduced. At last, she asks the students to give answers in front of the class. This activity is called “ask and answer”. After this activity, the teacher wants her students to give examples through the TV program types that the teacher has introduced. By using “you said” technique, she retells what students have said.
While-activity :
Pass and talk : 10 min.
Teacher puts another pictures*** related to TV program types on the board. After putting them on the board, teacher divides the class into groups of six people and distributes minimized pictures of TV programs to students. Each student has a card on which there is a TV program. Each group member describes what they see on the card. They talk about which TV program they have and what kind of TV program they see on the picture. It is important that each student describes the card they have loudly. After each student has finished his task, they pass the cards around from hand to hand until the teacher whistles. This whistle means “STOP”. Then, they continue doing the task with fully participation. All students must engage and participate in the activity. After students have finished the task as a group, they speak what they produce in the group activity in front of the class. Teacher wants students to evaluate presentations. This creates a competitive environment and makes fun learning in the classroom. This activity is named as “pass and talk”.
Post-activity : 2 min.
In this step, teacher repeats TV program types and evaluates class.
Contingency Plan :
Serials : 10 min.

The teacher shows a picture to students and tells something about the picture. Students write a story about the picture according to teachers’ explanations and descriptions by working in the same group. Each group prepares a different story and groups evaluate other groups’ stories saying whether it is interesting, good, well-presented, well-organized, and so on. The students have an opportunity to be both speakers and listeners and they can improve their understanding of what is involved in making a spoken presentation.

Objectives:

Ø  At the beginning of the lesson, the students will be able to learn some words related to character and friendship such as; intelligence, generosity, amusement, temperament…etc.
Ø  By the end of the lesson, the students will be able to tell which the aspect of the friendship most important and why to each other.
Ø  By the end of the lesson, the students will be able to express their experiences related to friendship.

PRESENTATION
Pre-activity(15mts)

1. Ask students to what they think are aspects of the personality they look for in people when forming friendship or relationship. Write their ideas on the board.

·         Confidentiality

2. Ask students that which they think is most important. And ask why.


Main activity(50 mts)

1. Tell the students they are going to see some typical comment about personality and relationships. Put them into groups of four.

2. Direct them to the first section and ask them to work together to match the comments with the aspects of the personality and relationship.

3. It can be a positive or negative example, loyalty or disloyalty. Ask them to make notes.
4. Ask them to explain their notes to their group.
5. Ask each groups to choose the best example of each aspect.
6. Direct the students’ attention to the second section of the handout. Tell them to discuss eight aspects and try to decide which ones are more important. Write the important one on the top and then order them according to importance to you.
7. Ask each group why they chose it and write on the top.

Post activity (15 mts)
1. The groups of four works together to write typical comments like those on the photocopy.

2. They read out their comments and the other groups have to decide which aspects they related to.

Equipment Needed: Whiteboard and maker.

Objectives:


Ø  At the beginning of the lesson, the students will be able to learn the differences between some words such as; information, prohibition, warning, instruction.
Ø  Within 20 minutes the students will be able to recall the words related to imperatives such as; no fishing, no swimming, slow down…etc.

Ø  By the end of the lesson, the students will be able to create imperative sentences about their school.


PRESENTATION
Pre-activity(15 mts)

1. The teacher greets the students, and then shows some pictures about the topic. Asks students to say exactly where the pictures were taken. Try to elicit names of places in Exercise A.

2. Show each pictures to the class again. This time tell students that there is a sign in the picture. Ask them to say that what could the sing say? Elicit suggestions, and write them on the board.

Exp:  No fishing near the river! (In the first picture.)

Main activity(45 mts)

1. Asks students work in pair. Give each student a photocopy. Ask student’s match signs 1-12 with the places in Exercise A.
