Aim:

To improve the listening ability
of the students
Objectives:

By the end of the lesson the
students will be able to talk about the activities that they make after the
school
Procedure:
·
The teacher starts the lesson
with greeting
·
Teacher makes a short
brainstorming about the topic
·
Then the teacher makes vocabulary
teaching. Teacher sticks some pictures and their written form on the board that
include activities students make after school
·
The teacher says the vocabularies
and the students are asked to repeat them
·
After finishing the vocabulary
teaching part, the teacher distributes a handout that includes a text
·
The teacher gives the instruction
·
The students work in pairs. One
of them has the text and the other has a blank paper and a pencil
·
The student who has the text
reads the text and the other writes it
·
They have a limited time because
when a student finishes the rest of the class must stop work
·
When this activity is finished,
the teacher makes another activity that is called running dictation
·
There are dictation texts posted
on the wall by the teacher before
·
The students work in pairs. One
learner is the runner and the other is the writer
·
The runner goes to the dictation
text, memorises a short sentence, returns to the writer and retells it
·
The writer writes it and when the
whole text is written, the students finish the activity
