By the end of the lesson, students will be able to generate sentences for pictures                     from the magazines using “comparative” and “superlative” form.

                        1st Hour of the Lesson
  1)      Warm-Up Stage (15 minutes):
    - Teacher shows the pictures of three different cities (Yalova, Ordu and Konya) which have different qualities (big, small, crowded, lively, etc.).
· - Teacher writes the names of the cities and the adjectives in the brackets above on the board and says “Yalova is smaller than Ordu., Ordu is smaller than Konya., etc.” pointing to the pictures. And she does the same thing with superlative forms.
· - Teacher writes some irregular adjectives on the board (good, bad, more) and the other changes while adding –er or –est to the adjectives.

  2)      While Stage (25 minutes):
·  - Teacher tells students that they are going to watch a video about comparatives and superlatives. She wants them to write the questions they hear. So they will be familiar with the question form.
·  - Teacher plays the video.
·  - Teacher tells students to ask the same questions to their desk mates.
·  -  After students finish their works, they read their sentences and write on the board.

2nd Hour of the Lesson
  3)      Post Stage (40 minutes)
  Magazine Search Activity (15 minutes)
·  - Teacher puts students in groups of three. She gives each group several magazines or catalogs that can be cut up. (Or, for a previous homework assignment, she asks the students to bring in magazines or catalogs.)
·  - In their magazines, the groups look for pictures to compare, then write comparison sentences. The number of sentences teacher assigns will depend on how long she wants to devote to this activity.
·  - The groups take turns showing their pictures and reading their sentences aloud.

     Classmate Questionnaire Activity (25 minutes)
