Title: What kind of friend are you?
Equipment
needed: Visual
aids(Pictures of the celebrities) and one photocopy for each student

OBJECTIVES/GOALS:
1. By the end of the lesson students will
be able to describe their own personalities by using at least six adjectives
which are funny, crazy, reliable, polite, generous, lucky.
2. By the end of the lesson students will
be able to discuss their friends' personalities by using should/shouldn't structure.
3. By the end of the lesson students will be able
to estimate their own personalities by using adverbs of frequency and adjectives.

READING LESSON
·
Asking the students which celebrities they
want to be best friend is, why s/he is and then making them brainstorm about
what kind of person s/he is.
·
Talking about the celebrity the teacher wants
to be best friend by showing a picture and asking the students what kind of
people they are by demonstrating pictures of celebrities
·
Sticking the pictures on the board and
identifying them with adjectives like crazy, polite, etc.
·
Asking the students how their
friends should or shouldn’t be and asking them to create sentences like “they
should be funny.”
·
Making the students identify
themselves by writing 5 adjectives and explaining them that they will try to
confirm their identifications with a questionnaire distributed.
3.
Main activity:
·
Before starting the activity, showing to the students her own survey's
result and talking about her personality by using adjectives that are in the
survey.
·
Asking the students complete the survey that are given, at the end of
the activity asking them their scores and asking them make sentences about
themselves by using adjectives according to the result of their survey.
4. Post-activity:
·
Asking students describe their friends who are in the classroom by
using at least three adjectives that they have learned.
·
Students try to guess which students they have talked about.
CONTINGENCY PLAN:
·
If there is an extra time after the activities ended, the teacher can
bring a song including adjectives to the class, make the students listen to
it and ask them to write the adjectives that they can catch in the song.
·
If there is a lack of time at the end of the lesson, the teacher can
postpone the post activity and use it for another subject.
