OBJECTIVES/GOALS: by the end of the lesson students
will be able
1. to list some problems about their holiday
2. to use past form of the verbs practicing
their conversations
3. report their own experiences about holiday
difficulties.

PRE-LISTENING
I ask students that whether they love holiday
or not, and ask them that “Have you ever have problems on holiday?” I put
students into groups of four and tell them to make a list of problems
holidaymakers may have on holiday. For instance, they may lose their suitcase,
not like the food, etc. I give an example from my own experience, and encourage
them to share their own experiences of any holiday difficulties. Then ı choose
one student to write their list on the board.
WHILE-LISTENING
I tell student they are going to listen to a
conversation among three people and they must decide where the conversation
takes place, and who the people are.
I give each student a copy of the Costumer Complaint
Form. I want them to listen again and complete the form as if they are the
travel agent. I give them time to study the form, and play the recording again.
I tell them to compare their answers with their pairs near them.
I want them to
work in groups of 3 in order to practise the conversation together after third
listening.
POST-LISTENING
I divide them into groups of three, and want them to
create their own conversation. I explain them that one student is travel agent
and two are customers. They should use the recording script as a model. But
they change the key information with their own ideas. I give them time to
complete and practise their conversations. Then while they’re acting their role
play in front of the class, ı capture them on the camera. Then we will watch
them together.
