Lesson Plan

Lesson Tittle            : Can-Can’t
Duration                   : 40 min.
Equipment Needed   : Song, worksheets, computer, speakers

Objectives

·         By the end of the lesson, students will be able to improve their listening and speaking skills.
·         Students will be able to make at least three sentences related to can and can’t
·         Students will be able to integrate structure of can cannot with games.

Procedure

·         The teacher greets the students and begins to tell the topic. She tells them ‘can- can’t’ by demonstrating. She jumps and says I can jump, and she walks and says I can walk. She open her arms and says I cannot fly.
·         Then, she gives a worksheet to the class. It is about can and can’t. After they finish, the worksheet is answered by the students.

·         The teacher says ‘it is song time’. She opens the song which is related to can and can’t, and the students listen to the song twice. At third time they try to sing the song.
·         After that, the teacher says ‘it is story time’. The teacher gives instruction clearly and opens the digital story by using the projector. At first, the students just listen. When they listen to the story twice, the teacher stops the story, chooses a few students randomly and they complete the story. This story is related to games, hobbies and can can’t.

·         After the story, the teacher divides the classroom into three groups and gives them some materials such as pictures, pencils, papers etc. The students create their own stories like making a poster. After they finish, each group tells their story in front of the classroom.
·         The teacher puts their stories on the wall.
